Jinhui Shipping Sells Four Supramax Vessels for $48 Million to Minyi Ship Leasing

In a strategic move to refine its fleet amidst a challenging dry bulk shipping industry, Jinhui Shipping and Transportation has completed the sale of four supramax bulk carriers for a total of $48 million. The vessels, acquired by Chinese ship owning and chartering firm Minyi (Tianjin) Ship Leasing, include the 2009-built Jin Shun and Jin Mao, both with a deadweight tonnage of 54,768, as well as the 2010-built Jin Heng at 55,091 dwt, and the 2011-built Jin Feng which boasts a capacity of 57,352 dwt. The delivery of these four bulk carriers is expected to take place between March 1 and April 15, 2017, marking an important transition for Jinhui as it seeks to optimize operations in the current market environment.
