RN-Bunker LLC, a subsidiary of Rosneft, has officially commissioned its cutting-edge bunkering tanker, the RN Olymp, at the port of Tuapse. According to a statement from the Rosneft press office, this impressive vessel boasts a cargo capacity of approximately 4,800 tonnes and an exceptional fuel supply capability of 800 cubic meters per hour. The RN Olymp is designed for unrestricted navigation, ensuring it meets all requisite safety standards and adheres to international maritime conventions. This state-of-the-art tanker will primarily operate within the seaports of the Black Sea Basin, enhancing Rosneft's service offerings in the region.

On June 5, 2023, the Turkish chemical tanker Firdes experienced a significant engine malfunction while navigating the Atlantic, on its way from Ceuta, Spain, to Bilbao, Spain. The situation prompted a swift response, and by the evening of June 6, the vessel was successfully taken under tow by the Spanish SAR tug Ria de Vigo (IMO 8311417). The Firdes is now bound for Bilbao, with an estimated arrival date set for June 8, as it makes its way through the waters of the Bay of Biscay.
