In a maritime incident that occurred on April 16, 2018, at 2:30 a.m., the LPG tanker "Crystal Sunrise" collided with the oil tanker "Astro Saturn" while navigating off the coast of Singapore. The incident unfolded as the "Crystal Sunrise", chartered by the Japanese liquefied petroleum gas firm Gyxis, was in the process of taking on a pilot at a designated station about one mile south of Tuas Extension.
