On January 30, 2015, at approximately 7:30 AM, the ferry 'Gaudos', identified by IMO number 9231335, was struck by high winds and turbulent maritime conditions during its voyage from Malta to Gozo. As a result, a truck on the vessel's car deck lost its balance and overturned. Fortunately, the incident resulted in no injuries. However, passengers experienced delays, as the 'Gaudos' was the sole ferry operating at the time, exacerbating the situation for those traveling between the two islands.
