The impact resulted in damage to the vessel's funnel, and debris, along with the projectile, was subsequently recovered from its deck. Meanwhile, in a separate occurrence just seven nautical miles east of Fujairah, the 'Gold Oak' (IMO: 9806342), which had recently arrived from Singapore, faced a similar situation. The ship had anchored at the same position on February 28, 2026, before the projectile strike damaged its steel structure. Authorities are investigating both incidents to determine the source of the projectiles and enhance maritime security in the region.
