Ten Stowaways Detained by Ghana Navy Near Tema
On October 31, 2025, the Ghana Navy successfully apprehended ten stowaways aboard the Panamanian vessel 'Grand Venus', approximately eight nautical miles southeast of the port of Tema. This operation was initiated following a distress signal from the ship. Initial reports indicate that these stowaways, all hailing from Nigeria, infiltrated the vessel while it was docked at Lagos Port between October 28 and 29, prior to its departure for Tema.
