In a dramatic nighttime rescue on September 25, 2017, the National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) Mossel Bay sprang into action at 10:35 p.m. The team launched a sea rescue craft to assist the vessel 'Harmony Ocean,' which was navigating from Liberia to Durban when it reported two of its crew members had fallen unconscious due to illness. Upon reaching the scene, located offshore from Mossel Bay, an EMS doctor along with paramedics quickly worked to stabilize the two affected sailors. Following their initial care onboard, both crew members were successfully transferred to the NSRI craft and subsequently taken ashore. Once on land, they were transported by EMS ambulance to the hospital, where they were reported to be in stable condition. This commendable rescue operation concluded around 3:00 a.m. on February 26, with both individuals receiving the urgent medical attention needed.

The Harmony Ocean, with IMO number 9159749, is currently unloading a shipment of sugar at the C&H Sugar plant located in Crockett, California, part of the San Francisco Bay area. As the vessel completes its cargo operations, it is expected to depart later today, January 19, 2011, sailing empty after successfully delivering its goods.
