Harvey-Liberty Ship Details and Seafarer Feedback

Shell Offshore Inc. has officially welcomed its third Offshore Supply Vessel (OSV) powered by Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) at Port Fourchon, Louisiana. The newly delivered vessel, named ‘Harvey Liberty’, is chartered from Harvey Gulf International Marine and will work alongside its sister vessels, ‘Harvey Energy’ and ‘Harvey Power’, to bolster Shell’s deep-water operations in the Gulf of Mexico. Tahir Faruqui, Shell’s General Manager of LNG North America, emphasized the significance of this delivery by stating, "This is an important milestone for Shell and Harvey Gulf." He further remarked that the ‘Harvey Liberty’ exemplifies Shell's ongoing commitment to expanding the use of LNG as a sustainable fuel in the transportation sector. Shane Guidry, CEO and Chairman of Harvey Gulf International Marine, shared his enthusiasm about this partnership, saying, "Harvey Gulf is excited to share these historical maritime events with Shell. This represents another significant step in Harvey Gulf's mission to become a leader in utilizing LNG as a marine fuel." This advancement not only marks progress within the maritime industry but also reinforces the push towards more eco-friendly fuel alternatives.
