Setting off from the Muelle de las Hadas at 7 a.m., a small catamaran carrying dedicated volunteer environmentalists made its way to the 'Hidden Gem,' which has been anchored in the bay since November 2022 while awaiting the necessary permits for mineral extraction in international waters. Equipped with two kayaks, the activists navigated two kilometers from the shore, initiating contact with the vessel's captain from approximately 200 meters away. In a determined effort, five women managed to ascend the starboard side of the ship and draped the blanket over a metal structure. However, the crew intervened to prevent their further ascent.
