Coast Guard Executes Medical Evacuation 160 Miles Offshore of San Diego

Acting swiftly, the watchstanders dispatched an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew from the Coast Guard Air Station Houston at 8:10 a.m. Within an hour, they arrived at the site and hoisted the injured engineer onboard, completing the rescue by 9 a.m. The man was subsequently transported to the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, where he was reported to be in stable condition after receiving medical care. This successful operation highlights the Coast Guard's commitment to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of those at sea.
