On August 4, 2022, during its journey from Aliağa to Ceyhan Port, the tanker 'Jag Lok' experienced a critical engine malfunction near İzmir-Karaburun, causing it to drift aimlessly in the waters off Aliağa. To provide support, the tugboat 'Sirapinar XVIII' was dispatched to the scene, successfully towing the stranded tanker back to Aliağa anchorage, where it anchored on August 6. Following this incident, the Harbour Master revoked the vessel's departure permission, ensuring safety and compliance with maritime regulations.
