The 'Tour 2' has successfully completed its repair operations in Tuzla, following a series of meticulous tightness tests and extensive steel replacements. After undergoing rigorous trials and performance assessments at sea, the vessel departed from the repair yard on February 1. With a newly issued set of trade certificates, 'Tour 2' has embarked on its journey, setting course through the Gulf of Oman toward Bandar Abbas, marking its first port of call post-repairs, with an expected arrival date of February 18.

On January 3, 2020, the vessel 'Tour 2' made a notable transition from the Tuzla shipyard to the anchorage area, where it conducted its initial sea trials following a recent grounding incident. During these trials, various essential systems—including pumps, auxiliary engines, and steering mechanisms—were rigorously tested in the presence of class surveyors and the owners' superintendent. Following this successful evaluation, 'Tour 2' returned to the shipyard to finalize repairs on the outstanding issues. Once all repairs have been completed, the vessel will receive a fresh set of trading certificates from both the classification society and the flag state authority, allowing it to resume its operations.

The 'Tour 2' is undergoing significant repairs at a Tuzla repair yard, where extensive steel cutting and replacement have been completed on its damaged bottom. Following the successful steel replacement, the vessel underwent a rigorous tightness test to ensure integrity. By November 16, attention has shifted to the tanker’s piping and pumping systems, which are now in the process of being repaired, further enhancing the vessel’s operational safety and efficiency.
