The vessel was on a journey from Dokdo to Ulleungdo island, traveling at a speed of 28 knots when the collision occurred. The impact resulted in a breach in the hull, leading to water infiltrating the engine room area. Fortunately, the crew efficiently managed to control the situation, with water rising to 60 centimeters before being suppressed by the ferry's onboard pumps. The Eldorado continued its voyage and arrived safely at Ulleungdo at 11:37 p.m., albeit at a reduced speed and accompanied by a Korean patrol boat. Thankfully, there were no injuries reported among those on board.
