Navios Maritime Acquisition Corporation, a prominent player in the tanker vessel market, has recently expanded its fleet with the delivery of Nave Neutrino, a very large crude carrier (VLCC) constructed in 2003 and boasting a deadweight tonnage of 298,287 dwt. In an official announcement, the company revealed that the Nave Neutrino has been successfully chartered to a reputable counterparty for a six-month period, with charter rates tied to an adjusted BITR TD3 index. This agreement allows for the potential extension of an additional six months, ensuring steady employment for the vessel. With the addition of Nave Neutrino, Navios Acquisition's operational fleet now comprises 37 vessels, including 23 product tankers, four chemical tankers, and ten VLCCs, positioning the company strategically within the maritime sector.
