On August 1, 2022, a dramatic rescue unfolded near Corpus Christi when the U.S. Coast Guard medevaced a 64-year-old crew member from the tanker 'Laurentia Desgagnes'. The emergency call came in around 1 p.m. from the vessel's captain, reporting that a crew member was suffering from low blood pressure and elevated heart rate while anchored in Corpus Christi Anchorage. Following the initial distress call, the Coast Guard Sector Corpus Christi watchstanders promptly conferred with the duty flight surgeon, who advised an urgent medevac. A Coast Guard Air Station Corpus Christi MH-65 Dolphin helicopter was quickly dispatched to the scene. The aircrew successfully hoisted the ailing crew member aboard and transported him to CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi, where he was reported to be in stable condition following the rescue.

On the evening of July 21, 2019, the MV Laurentia Desgagnes encountered significant issues with its main engine's bridge control while docked at section 106 of the Port of Montreal, Quebec. Located at the coordinates 45 38 35.4 N and 73 28 36.0 W, the vessel required immediate assistance and was subsequently towed to an anchorage near Pointe-aux-Trembles for necessary repairs. Following the downtime, the Laurentia Desgagnes departed from Montreal at 10 a.m. on July 22, successfully making its way into Quebec by 8:15 p.m. the same day.

In a strategic move, Concordia Maritime and Finnish oil giant Neste Oil have finalized the sale of their jointly owned Ice Class 1A panamax tanker, Palva. The vessel, a key part of their fleet, is set to transfer ownership to Transport Maritime St-Laurent Inc. Delivery of the tanker is anticipated in April or May 2014, according to a recent press release from Concordia Maritime.
