Minerva Bunkers Launches Offshore Fuel Supply Operations in West Africa
Minerva Bunkers, a renowned global supplier and trader of marine fuels, has officially initiated physical fuel supply operations offshore in West Africa. This operation spans the maritime territories of the Guinea Gulf countries, including Ivory Coast, Ghana, Togo, Benin, Nigeria, Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, and Gabon. This strategic launch will enhance Minerva Bunkers’ existing trading capabilities within the region. The company will utilize the 13,115-dwt double-hulled tanker, Sea Lion I, to provide a comprehensive range of marine fuels to its clients. Additionally, plans are in place to introduce a second tanker of a similar size before March 2016, further boosting their supply capacity. Built in 2007, the Sea Lion I boasts a robust pumping capability of up to 1,000 MT/HR. In a move towards operational excellence, the tanker is set to be equipped with a Coriolis Mass Flow Meter in the first quarter of 2016, ensuring precise measurement of the fuel delivered. This state-of-the-art technology will address any potential inaccuracies that might arise from fuel swelling during offshore supply operations. With this development, Minerva Bunkers is reinforcing its commitment to delivering high-quality marine fuel solutions in the competitive West African market.
