During this control, officers from Stade discovered that the vessel had discharged approximately 1,200 liters of liquid chemicals into British waters in the North Sea at the beginning of the month. Authorities have turned their focus to the ship's chief engineer, a 40-year-old individual from Thailand, who is now suspected of involvement in this significant water pollution case. The Hamburg prosecutor's office has indicated that they will coordinate with British officials once their inquiry reaches completion. The tanker continued its journey, departing for Antwerp at 2:20 a.m. on February 27.
