On September 11, 2023, the Panamanian-registered car carrier MALACCA HIGHWAY faced unexpected delays at Vladivostok port when customs officials discovered a radioactive truck within its cargo. This vessel was transporting a variety of second-hand vehicles from Japan, including a Mitsubishi Pajero that registered ionizing radiation levels significantly above normal.
