On January 24, 2022, a maritime collision occurred in the Barents Sea involving the Russian fishing vessel 'Kiev' (IMO: 8859885) and the cargo ship 'Marta Arendsee.' The incident took place approximately 222 nautical miles northeast of Murmansk, at coordinates 70°31'12" N, 39°31'12" E. Fortunately, both vessels sustained damage but remained seaworthy, with no reported casualties, cargo loss, or environmental impact.
