Med Adriatic Faces Propulsion Issues in Wester Scheldt
On August 1, 2016, the tanker Med Adriatic experienced propulsion difficulties while making its way from Rotterdam to Antwerp through the Wester Scheldt. Quick to respond, the tugs Multratug 29 and Gent arrived on the scene to assist the affected vessel. The Gent successfully towed the Med Adriatic to the Port of Terneuzen, where the ship was safely anchored for repairs. Fortunately, on August 2, the Med Adriatic resumed its journey and is now en route to Derince, with an expected arrival date of August 14.
