The Minerva-Julie: Crew Feedback and Vessel Data

On June 18, 2019, the U.S. Coast Guard successfully executed a medical evacuation for a crew member aboard the vessel 'Minerva Julie', located several miles south of Port Aransas, Texas. The situation arose when the ship’s agent reached out to Coast Guard Sector/Air Station Corpus Christi to request urgent medical assistance for an injured crew member. After thorough assessment, the duty flight surgeon endorsed the medevac operation. An MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew was promptly deployed, arriving swiftly at the scene to facilitate the transfer of the injured individual. The crew member was subsequently transported to Christus Spohn Hospital Shoreline in Corpus Christi, where he was reported to be in stable condition.
