In a strategic move to enhance its fleet, Indonesian shipping company Soechi Lines has successfully acquired the Esteem Splendour, a 2005-built aframax crude oil tanker, from Japan's Meiji Shipping. Shipbroking sources reveal that the well-maintained 106,500 dwt tanker changed hands for a total of $14.5 million. This acquisition marks the fourth vessel that Soechi Lines has added to its fleet this year, following previous purchases that included one MR tanker, an aframax tanker, and an LPG carrier. This proactive expansion underscores Soechi Lines' commitment to bolstering its operational capabilities in the competitive maritime sector.
