Jinhui Shipping and Transportation has executed a strategic sale of four supramax bulk carriers for a total consideration of $48 million, marking a pivotal move as the company aims to enhance its fleet amid challenging conditions in the dry bulk shipping sector. The vessels, all constructed in the late 2000s to early 2010s, include the 2009-built Jin Shun and Jin Mao, both with a deadweight tonnage of 54,768, the 2010-built Jin Heng with a deadweight of 55,091, and the 2011-built Jin Feng, which boasts a capacity of 57,352 dwt. The delivery of these vessels to Minyi (Tianjin) Ship Leasing, a prominent Chinese ship owning and chartering firm, is scheduled to occur between March 1 and April 15, 2017. This transaction is part of Jinhui's ongoing efforts to adapt and refine its fleet profile in response to the prevailing market conditions.
