On June 7, 2017, the vehicle carrier 'Neptune Thelisis' encountered a harrowing situation at Luka Koper after arriving from Piraeus at 9 a.m. A fierce storm swept through the area, bringing wind gusts that reached an astonishing 110 kilometers per hour. This extreme weather caused the ship, which was securely moored at the quay, to break free as the strong winds snapped the bow mooring lines.
