In a groundbreaking event, Shell has successfully conducted its inaugural ship-to-ship LNG bunkering operation from its specialized bunker vessel, Cardissa, in Rotterdam. Adding to the excitement, this operation also marked several notable milestones, including the fueling of the Gagarin Prospect, the first-ever LNG-powered Aframax tanker, owned by Sovcomflot. Royal Dutch Shell has officially welcomed its inaugural LNG bunker ship, named Cardissa, to the bustling port of Rotterdam. Constructed by STX Offshore & Shipbuilding in South Korea, Cardissa is equipped with advanced Wärtsilä DF dual-fuel engines, ensuring efficient and sustainable performance.
