The vessel Mundra is set to embark on a new charter agreement starting 5th February. The deal, struck with Phaethon, guarantees a daily rate of $8,100 for a duration ranging from a minimum of 11 months to a maximum of 14 months. This agreement highlights the ongoing demand for shipping services in the region.

In an important deal for the dry bulk shipping sector, Diana Shipping Inc. has announced a new time charter agreement through its wholly-owned subsidiary. The contract is with Phaethon International Company AG for the Panamax dry bulk vessel m/v Danae. This agreement sets the gross charter rate at US$8,100 per day, excluding a 5% commission owed to third parties. The duration of the charter will range from a minimum of eleven (11) months to a maximum of fourteen (14) months, with the charter expected to begin later today. The m/v Danae, which has an impressive deadweight tonnage (dwt) of 75,106, was launched in 2001. It is projected that this charter will yield approximately US$2.67 million in gross revenue over the minimum duration of the agreement.

A new period charter has been successfully negotiated for the Phaethon vessel, with delivery set to take place in Oita between December 20 and December 21. This charter will span a duration of thirteen to sixteen months, allowing for trading opportunities across global waters. The daily rate for this charter is set at $10,000, marking a significant agreement in the maritime industry.
