Opaline Faces Safety Valve Challenge en Route to Leixoes

This incident occurred approximately 28 miles off Spurn Head, specifically at coordinates 53° 24.13'N, 000° 49.11'E. In response to the mechanical difficulties, the ship anchored and awaited assistance from the tugboat 'Nobleman.' Later that evening, at 7:40 p.m., the 'Opaline' successfully docked at the roro terminal in North Killingholme Haven, Immingham, marking the end of its ordeal.

On October 24, 2018, the ferry 'Opaline', which was traveling from Zeebrugge to Purfleet, experienced a significant incident as it allided with the Linkspan. As a result of the collision, the vessel sustained a two-square-meter hole located two feet above the waterline on its port side.
