Working Conditions Aboard the Palawan-Star

In a daring incident that unfolded early on February 1, 2020, at 01:30 a.m., the moored tanker 'Palawan Star' found itself under threat at the Lagos anchorage, located at coordinates 006 15 42N, 003 19 06E. Two armed robbers in a small boat attempted to board the vessel during the duty shift of the able seaman. Fortunately, the seaman demonstrated remarkable presence of mind, managing to evade capture and alert his fellow crew members. Thanks to their swift response, the assailants abandoned their plans and fled the scene, leaving empty-handed. The Nigerian Navy was promptly notified and dispatched a patrol vessel to the area to conduct further investigations into the attempted boarding.
