In a critical situation on March 13, 2018, the captain of the merchant vessel 'Ibis Pacific' had to be urgently medevaced due to alarming symptoms indicative of a heart attack. The incident occurred approximately 235 kilometers off the coast of Huelva, Spain. The emergency operation was promptly coordinated by the Huelva Maritime Rescue Coordination Center (CCS). Utilizing the helicopter Helimer 220, the captain was successfully winched aboard and later taken to Juan Ramón Jiménez Hospital for further treatment. The 'Ibis Pacific', which had departed from Carteya Guadarranque on March 12, was en route to Puerto Rico at the time of the medical emergency. In May alone, the rebels received a total of four cargo shipments of gasoline and four diesel deliveries via maritime routes, while ports under Qaddafi's control reported no fuel supplies, as indicated by Bloomberg's investigations with fuel traders and shipbrokers.
