On February 8, 2020, the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) rescue team from Falmouth embarked on a crucial medical evacuation mission involving the tanker 'Seaturbot'. The lifeboat 'Volunteer Spirit' was dispatched to assist a passenger in urgent need of medical care. Departing from the station at 2:10 p.m., the lifeboat successfully reached the tanker by 2:30 p.m., navigating through challenging Force 7 conditions approximately six miles off the coast. The dedicated RNLI crew safely transferred the casualty from the tanker and brought them aboard the lifeboat before returning to the shore.
