The MV Patani, a 11,935 gross ton vessel (IMO: 9373644), has successfully undergone repairs after sustaining damage from a collision with the MV Simone (IMO: 9570656) on the evening of June 23, west of the Fehmarn Belt. These repairs were finalized at Lindoe Shipyard on July 14. Following the completion of the work, the Patani departed Vigeroe at 6:15 p.m. and is currently en route to Riga, with an estimated arrival time set for July 16 at 10 p.m.

A maritime incident occurred on the evening of June 23, 2016, when the cargo ship "Simone" collided with the tanker "Patani" in the waters west of the Fehmarn Belt, situated between the islands of Fehmarn and Lolland. Both vessels were navigating on intersecting courses at the time of the incident. The "Simone," which set sail from Southampton via the Kiel Canal, was heading north toward Nakskov. Conversely, the "Patani" was traveling eastbound, making its way from Kalundborg to Swinoujscie. While the extent of damages sustained by both ships remains unclear, the "Simone" managed to continue its journey, reaching Nakskov Berth 2 at 6 a.m. on June 24. The "Patani," however, remained anchored near the site of the collision. Following repairs and evaluations, the "Simone" departed Nakskov on June 27 at 11:30 a.m., setting its course for Abenraa with an estimated time of arrival at 10 p.m. The "Patani" proceeded to dock at the Lindoe Shipyard OSS in Vigerö on June 27 at 4 a.m., marking its own recovery from the incident.
