Working Conditions Aboard the St-Amrah

A group of unidentified assailants attempted to infiltrate the 'Seaways Ariadmar' on January 15, 2018, while the crew was gearing up for STS cargo operations in the Lagos outer anchorage, specifically at coordinates 06°18'05"N, 003°23'61"E. At approximately 3 a.m., the Officer of the Watch detected the robbers and promptly raised the alarm. In response, the entire crew mustered on the bridge, the ship's whistle blared continuously, powerful searchlights illuminated the area where the intruders were spotted, and access to crew accommodation areas was effectively secured. Faced with the crew's heightened readiness and alertness, the would-be robbers decided to abandon their plans and retreated swiftly.
