Almaco Set to Revamp SuperStar Virgo for Dream Cruises

Almaco, a leading player in maritime renovation, is gearing up to transform the SuperStar Virgo into the stunning Explorer Dream for its sister brand, Dream Cruises. This significant overhaul will take place at the Sembawang Shipyard in Singapore, where Almaco will enhance the guest experience by renovating all onboard accommodations. The ambitious project includes a complete refurbishment of 543 cabins, addressing essential elements like wallpaper, carpets, artwork, curtains, and other soft furnishings. Additionally, 44 existing passenger cabins will be reconfigured into 22 luxurious Bay suites, while two brand new Palace suites are set to be constructed on Deck 10. The renovation also involves building a modern 80 square-metre VIP galley and updating 150 metres of corridors to elevate the overall aesthetic of the vessel. Tommi Virta, Almaco’s project manager overseeing the accommodation transformation, expressed enthusiasm about collaborating again with the Genting team after the successful remodel of the Crystal Serenity. He remarked, "We are proud to be able to work with the Genting team once more after the success of Crystal Serenity and utilise our efficiencies in engineering, logistics and project management to reach the extremely tight deadlines." With this transformation, the Explorer Dream is set to offer an enhanced cruising experience, underscoring the commitment of Dream Cruises to providing exceptional service to its guests.
