On August 23, a grand naming ceremony took place at the GSI (Guangzhou Shipbuilding International) shipyard in Guangzhou, southeast China, celebrating the unveiling of the Stena Imperator alongside her sister vessel, Stena Imprimis. These two tankers, aptly named, represent the 11th and 12th additions in a series of 13 identical IMOIIMAX tankers commissioned by Stena Bulk. The final tanker in this impressive line-up is set to be delivered in January of next year. Both vessels boast remarkable dimensions, measuring 183 meters in length and 32 meters in beam, with a deadweight capacity of 50,000 tons. With their names officially bestowed, the Stena Imperator and Stena Imprimis are now ready to contribute to Stena Bulk's esteemed fleet.
