The 'STI Pimlico' has left its anchorage and is en route to LisNave shipyard in Setubal for necessary repairs following a collision with the 'Bilbao Knutsen' at the port of Huelva. The incident occurred on April 30 at approximately 4 a.m. and the STI Pimlico's estimated arrival for repairs is set for May 5. In the meantime, the 'Bilbao Knutsen' continues to be secured at the port of Huelva, positioned at coordinates 37° 5.55' N, 006° 53.97' W, as of May 5. In the early hours of April 30, 2021, a maritime accident occurred when the cargo vessel 'Sti Pimlico', which was en route from Mohammedia, collided with the LNH tanker 'Bilbao Knudsen'. This incident took place at approximately 4:30 a.m. in the anchorage area of Huelva, just as the 'Bilbao Knudsen' was departing towards the Gulf of Cadiz. The collision resulted in significant damages to both vessels, prompting them to drop anchor close to the site of the incident. The 'Sti Pimlico' sustained damage to the starboard side of its forecastle and lost parts of its starboard anchor’s flukes and crown. Recent images and footage from Besiktas Shipyard in Altinova reveal the significant damage suffered by the tanker STI Pimlico, which is currently docked for extensive repairs after a collision with the cruise ship Celestial Crystal in the Dardanelles Strait.
