Working Conditions Aboard the Ternfjord

On September 12, 2016, renowned Swedish tanker operator Terntank celebrated the delivery of M/T Ternfjord, marking the second addition to its fleet of cutting-edge chemical tankers. Part of a series of four 15,000 dwt vessels, M/T Ternfjord is equipped with a state-of-the-art dual-fuel two-stroke engine, which was expertly constructed by Avic Dingheng Shipbuilding in China. Just a day after its delivery, M/T Ternfjord set sail from the shipyard to load its first cargo, destined for various locations in Europe. Terntank has announced that the tanker will be chartered to ExxonMobil in Norway, tasked with transporting refined oil products from the ExxonMobil refinery located in Slagentangen, Norway, to clients along the picturesque Norwegian coastline. This impressive vessel, boasting a gross tonnage of 11,374, measures 147 meters in length and 22 meters in width. The vessel received its name on March 26, 2016, alongside its sister ship, M/T Ternsund. Earlier in June 2016, Terntank also welcomed M/T Ternsund into its fleet, which is designated for distributing refined oil products from NEOT's refinery in Gothenburg, Sweden.
