On January 12, 2015, the tanker 'Letizia Effe' experienced an engine blackout while docked at the southern Navy pilings in Brunsbüttel-Ostermoor, en route from Kaliningrad to Rotterdam. The incident led to one crew member becoming trapped on deck, necessitating a medical evacuation. The local water police vessel, 'Schwansen,' was dispatched to conduct investigations into the matter. Following the incident, the tanker resumed its journey towards Rotterdam, departing at 9:20 p.m. with an expected time of arrival set for January 14 at 6 a.m.

On April 26, 2014, a medical emergency unfolded at sea when the tanker 'Letizia Effe' reported an injury aboard. The alert reached the CROSS Etel at 4:25 p.m., prompting swift action. Following a consultation with the maritime medical consultation center in Toulouse, a decision for a medical evacuation was made at 4:50 p.m. In response, the CROSS Etel dispatched a Cayman helicopter from the French Navy, equipped with a medical team from the Army health service and a diver. The helicopter arrived on scene at 6:55 p.m. and, within an hour, successfully hoisted the injured crew member at approximately 7 p.m. The vessel, which was en route to Brest, was located under 100 kilometers west of Penmarc'h. The Polish national was subsequently transported to the Cavale Blanche hospital in Brest, arriving by 7:20 p.m. This timely intervention highlights the efficiency of maritime emergency response teams.
