In an exciting development for maritime logistics, the world’s largest roll-on/roll-off (ro-ro) vessel, Tonsberg, is poised to make its inaugural entry into Australian waters. Just two months after its delivery to Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics, the giant ship is on course to grace our shores. Tonsberg, heralded as the first of the technologically advanced Mark V class of vessels, is scheduled to dock in Auckland, New Zealand, on June 26, before making its way to Australia around June 30. The ship will make a series of stops at major ports including Brisbane, Port Kembla, Melbourne, and Fremantle, marking a significant moment in maritime transportation in the region.
