On January 26, the tanker 'Silver Carla' was successfully towed to the Blohm & Voss shipyard in Hamburg for main engine repairs. The tow was carried out by the tugboats 'Multratug 20' and 'Bugsier 21' following a coordinated effort that began on January 25, when four tugs, including 'Stella' and 'Florian', left the Nordfrost-Southwest Quay in Wilhelmshaven. After a careful towing operation, the vessel arrived at its destination, docking at Blohm & Voss at 6:45 PM. In the early hours of January 13, 2023, the weather conditions eased enough for the tugs 'Bugsier 9' and 'Bugsier 10' to reposition and resume their towing mission of the distressed tanker 'Silver Carla'. The operation saw the tanker being guided towards Jade, with support from the tug 'Mellum' and escort tug 'Weser'. By 6:30 a.m. on January 13, the tug 'Nordic' was safely released and returned to Cuxhaven. The 'Silver Carla' finally arrived in Wilhelmshaven at 5:15 p.m. and was securely docked at the Nordfrost quay along the Ems-Jade-Canal by 6:30 p.m. For more details, check the German report featuring a photo here: http://www.wzonline.de/nachrichten/uebersicht/topthemen-aus-wilhelmshaven-und-friesland/artikel/havarierter-tanker-sicher-im-hafen.html?no_cache=1&cHash=028d55b291751e2d061b56a856bcdb2d
