In a groundbreaking maritime achievement, the Suezmax tanker "Vladimir Tikhonov" has become the first of its kind to traverse the northern route along Russia's coastline, significantly shortening the journey between Europe and Asia. Departing from Murmansk on August 20, this heavy-duty vessel is transporting an impressive 120,000 tons of gas condensate destined for Southeast Asian markets. The tanker, operated by Sovcomflot, is chartered by Novatek, Russia's second-largest natural gas producer. With a deadweight capacity exceeding 162,000 tons, the "Vladimir Tikhonov" boasts Suezmax dimensions, measuring 280 meters in length and 50 meters in width, featuring a draft of 13 meters.
