On January 2, 2014, the tanker 'LS Anne', making her way from Rotterdam, encountered engine difficulties just as she approached the Maas Lock in Terneuzen. After the vessel's malfunction rendered her unable to navigate, she was towed to the Caland Canal, where she dropped anchor near beacon 20. The situation was efficiently managed with the assistance of Kotug tugs, 'SD Jacoba' and 'ZP Chalonet', which took the 'LS Anne' in tow. She was safely moored in Terneuzen and later departed the port on January 3 at 5:30 p.m., setting course for Port Jerome. On October 8, 2023, the cargo vessel 'LS Anne' (IMO 9418925) experienced a temporary machine blackout while navigating from Ghent to Terneuzen. The tugboat 'Multratug 10' arrived promptly at the scene but was not required to intervene, as the vessel's engine was successfully restarted. Following this quick resolution, the 'LS Anne' continued its journey towards the Western lock without further incident.
