What Crew Members Say About Vladivostok

On February 4, 2023, at 04:50 a.m. local time, the fish factory vessel 'Vladivostok' encountered a significant operational setback due to its trawling nets becoming entangled in the steering gear propeller complex. The incident took place in the Sea of Okhotsk, specifically at the coordinates 053°58'36" N and 154°18'03" E. As a result of this mishap, the vessel was left without power and unable to navigate. To aid in the situation, the Russian salvage tug 'Sibirskiy' was deployed and successfully met up with the disabled 'Vladivostok' on February 5 at 5:30 p.m. The tug took the fish factory in tow, guiding it toward a sheltered anchorage along the western coast of Kamchatka.
