Collision at Sea: Tanker Strikes Fishing Vessel, Two Crew Members Missing
On the morning of August 4, 2014, a maritime incident occurred when the tanker 'Woojin Chemi' collided with a fishing boat in the northern Taiwan Strait, near Fujian, specifically in the Fuzhou area. The collision led to the unfortunate sinking of the fishing vessel. While six crew members were successfully rescued from the water, two individuals remain unaccounted for. Following the incident, the 'Woojin Chemi' remained anchored at Ningde roads, just north of Fuzhou. As of August 8 at 0400 a.m. UTC, the tanker had yet to change its position, continuing to be monitored in the same location.
