Philly Shipyard, Inc. (PSI), a leading subsidiary of Philly Shipyard ASA (Oslo: PHLY), has proudly announced the delivery of the American Endurance, marking a significant milestone as the first of four state-of-the-art 50,000 dwt product tankers being constructed for American Petroleum Tankers (APT), a division of Kinder Morgan, Inc. This delivery represents the 25th vessel launched by PSI, previously known as Aker Philadelphia Shipyard, Inc. The cutting-edge product tanker leverages a trusted design from Hyundai Mipo Dockyards (HMD) and is engineered with an array of fuel efficiency features, versatile cargo capabilities, and compliance with the latest regulatory standards. Additionally, the vessel has achieved LNG Ready Level 1 approval from the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS). Spanning 600 feet, the American Endurance boasts an impressive capacity to transport up to 14.5 million gallons of crude oil or refined products. PSI has also initiated the construction of three additional 50,000 dwt tankers for APT, alongside two 3,600 TEU containerships destined for Matson Navigation Company, Inc.
