On February 6, 2025, the Bangladesh Coast Guard (BCG) made significant strides in maritime law enforcement by seizing two tankers: the 'Dolphin 19' and the Bangladeshi vessel 'OT Union.' This decisive action occurred at the outer anchorage of Kutubdia in Cox's Bazar, where the tankers were caught red-handed conducting unauthorized fuel oil transfers, thereby circumventing customs duties. During routine patrol operations, the BCG’s vessel, the 'Apurba Bangla,' discovered the 'Dolphin 19' engaged in the collection of fuel oil from the 'OT Union.' Reports indicate that approximately 356 metric tons of fuel oil were transferred during this illicit activity, leading to a considerable loss of revenue for the government. In response to this violation, nine crew members from the 'OT Union' were detained on allegations of involvement in the unlawful fuel supply. Legal proceedings are underway through the Marine Court, initiated by the Chittagong Port Authority, to address these infractions and uphold maritime regulations.

On October 16, 2019, at 12:45 a.m., the MTM Antwerp experienced a significant main engine failure while navigating towards the St. Lambert lock in Montreal. Following the mechanical breakdown, the vessel was securely moored at the downstream jetty to facilitate necessary repairs by the onboard crew. After successfully addressing the engine issues, the ship was able to depart from Montreal on October 20 at 11:30 a.m. The MTM Antwerp is now en route to Belledune, with an estimated time of arrival set for October 22.
