The Morality: Crew Feedback and Vessel Data

On August 11, 2014, a distressing incident occurred aboard the tanker 'Pink Coral' when a 60-year-old Romanian crew member suffered a medical emergency. The crew member lost consciousness and subsequently fell into a coma while the vessel was approximately 15 nautical miles from the Mari coast. The situation prompted the ship's captain to contact the Cyprus Joint Rescue Coordination Centre (JRCC) in Larnaca at 1:55 p.m. Responding swiftly, a police helicopter was deployed for the medevac operation. Remarkably, the rescue operation was completed in under an hour, with the affected crew member being airlifted and transported to Nicosia General Hospital. As per reports, the patient's condition has been classified as critical, highlighting the seriousness of the situation.
