In a strategic move, Navios Maritime has finalized a package sale of five vessels, including two LR1 tankers and three MR tankers, to Chinese buyers Avic Leasing for a total of USD 103.2 million. The vessels involved in this transaction include the LR1 tankers 'Nave Andromeda,' built in 2011 at Sungdong Shipyard, and 'Nave Estella,' launched in 2012 at the same facility. Both tankers underwent dry dock maintenance in December 2019 and February 2020, respectively. In addition, the sale includes three MR tankers—'Nave Alderamin,' 'Nave Titan,' and 'Nave Capella'—all constructed in 2013 at Dae Sun Shipbuilding, with their latest dry dockings completed in September, June, and October of 2021.
