On December 9, 2020, the vessel 'Neuwerk' was deployed to the North Sea region near White Bank, following reports from Dutch fishermen regarding submerged containers approximately 200 kilometers from the Elbe estuary. Fisherman Jelle Hakvoort identified objects resting on the ocean floor, located about 90 miles north of Schiermonnikoog, on December 3. During his initial survey with sonar, he detected anomalies at the summit of the bank, a finding that was reconfirmed during a subsequent pass.
