The Royal-Majesty: Crew Feedback and Vessel Data

In a troubling incident on 20 July 2011, at 05:30 LT, the chemical tanker Sichem Aneline was targeted by pirates while anchored 9.5 nautical miles northeast of Belawan port, Indonesia. The vessel was located at coordinates 3° 55' 54" N and 98° 45' 48" E when the attack occurred. The vigilant duty watchman spotted the intruders and promptly alerted the Officer of the Watch (OOW), who raised the alarm and assembled the crew in response to the brewing threat. The pirates managed to steal various ship's stores before escaping the scene. Despite notifying the Port Authority and Pilot Station via VHF Radio about the incident, no assistance was received from the authorities.
