Early morning on July 4, 2019, a maritime incident unfolded in the fishing port of Rostock when the cargo vessel 'Vilm' experienced an allision with the passenger m/v 'Baltica' at around 2 a.m. The unfortunate event was triggered by unexpected strong wind gusts that compromised the vessel's control during its berthing maneuver.
